Tropical Island s Resort is a water park 50 kilometers from the southern border of Berlin, Germany. Considered the largest indoor water park in the world, it was built in a former East German airship hangar. Reviewed July 6, 2013. If you are planning to visit Berlin, you MUST visit Tropical Island. It is just 63K east of Berlin. It feels and looks like Bali or Thailand. It is absolutely amazing. There are tropical birds flying around, sandy beaches, palm trees and gardens full of tropical plants. It is so easy to get lost in the beauty of the island.
