I use oxo which are not silicone they are some sort of plastic. They do suction. I'm not sure if you have tried them. I both hand wash them (I just use regular soap not scent free) and put them in the dish washer and never had a lingering scent. They don't seem to stain except with pasta sauce.

I have a silicone plate that I adored. It was our go to. But the constant smell and taste of soap I use it like once a week now if that. I tried all the tips. Using lemon juice, hand washing, etc. Instead we have bamboo plates and we also got a cheap "Your Zone" plastic set with plates, bowls, trays cups, and cutlery for $5.
