Hey all! I'm working on a project with a lot of CG footage and in AE i've been time remapping all the precomps to get things timed right. It's ready for final delivery but I just noticed that AE is not doing any sort of frame blending (in this case I want pixel motion) to the shots! Is it seriously not possible to frame blend precomps???

The effect doesn't seem to work. I'm not sure why, but if I go back and frame blend the layer before precomposition, it works EDIT: I think I know what you mean. Like if I precompose, and then frame blend the cmoposed layer, I need to hit "continuous rasterization" so that the frame blending happens to the parent layer that was composed right?

When a mode adds to the color values of the layer underneath, the numeric value for every color channel (red, green and blue) is added to the corresponding values of each color channel underneath. So if a pixel has 35% blue on the top layer and 25% blue on the bottom layer and a mode adds them together it will output 65% blue (a brighter blue).
