What happened to Gaius? I don't think this is a spoiler but beware anyways since it's from season 5. What just happened with Gaius in season 5? He went from this extremely intelligent old man who notices anything out of the ordinary to one who ignores the majority of suspicious acts and activities.

It largely featured Gaius, with him having been possessed by a Goblin. Merlin stumbles across a secret chamber and accidentally releases a Goblin. The mischievous creature then possesses Gaius, leading the once-wise.

Gauis bloodshot eyes in season 5 finally explained! SPOILERS In Season 5 Episode 5 Gauis appears to be sick as one of his eyes is extremely red and looks quite funny. The first few times I watched this show I assumed that maybe the actor was genuinely having health issues or something of the likes.
