This exhibition marked the maturation of the International Style. Other outstanding works from this period in Oud's career include the facade design of asymmetrical rectangles for the Café de Unie in Rotterdam (1925; destroyed) and workers' housing quarters in the Hook of Holland (1924-1927) and the Kiefhoek area of Rotterdam (1924-1929).

Café De Unie is een gebouw uit 1925 in de Nederlandse stad Rotterdam, naar ontwerp van architect J.J.P. Oud. Het oorspronkelijke pand bevond zich aan het Calandplein en werd in 1940 verwoest. In 1986 kwam aan de Mauritsweg een replica van de markante gevel. Dat pand was vervolgens in gebruik als horecagelegenheid met theater en debatcentrum.

Café de Unie is now located on Mauritsweg, near Rotterdam Central Station. It was originally built in 1925 as a temporary fix to fill a site on the Calandplein between two 19th-century buildings, and it survived only 15 years before it was bombed during World War II. But in 1985 the café was reconstructed 1,640 feet (500 m) from its original site.
