Well i mean you would still use a shovel' salve to get a teammate away from 1 hp but definitely not on the laning stage.. There is simply not enough farm on the map for all five heroes to have strong farm let alone 2. Dota has always been 5v5 and supports have always had impact even in mid and late game.
