St Hilda's Church. Hydean Way, Stevenage. Was located in Shephall in 1958. Originally the congregation used the temporary building that had been moved from St Joseph's church in Bedwell. The foundation stone of the new church was laid in 1961 and the church was completed in and opened in 1962. The first parish priest was Fr Francis Donovan.
